Just as Krishna is The Original Person, He also is The Original Creator. This can also be concluded with little intelligence. Instead of investing faith in baseless theories one must invest their faith in Vedas at least once, which is based on reality. In fact, the result is already present around when we find not even a popcorn pops out in an empty cooker on stove. How can then this huge universe manifest out of nothing? As concluded in previous articles, nothing manifests by chance, automatically. Everything comes from something, for a reason.
The satellite is also assembled and delicately structured by humans very carefully and with accuracy, before controlling it on the space orbit. Similarly, the planets are revolving at a constant velocity, not automatically but through various agents and energies of Krishna. The rising and setting of luminary bodies such as the moon and the sun cannot be a coincidence. Such an organized regular arrangement concludes an organized government behind.
It is said in the Vedas that just as we inhale and exhale thousands of living microbes in a moment, similarly millions of universes are created and destroyed by Vishnu’s inhaling and exhaling. There are millions of universes as per Vedic authorities, of which even a single is a far subject for the scientists for they cannot even properly understand and manage this one planet. The universe is divided into:
- Higher planetary System
- Middle Planetary System
- Lower planetary System
What is referred to as heaven in all the scriptures is same as the planets of the higher planetary system where life duration, enjoyment, etc. truly is thousand fold than here on Earth. Earth is situated in the middle planetary system, above the lower planetary systems consisting of hellish planets.
Heaven is where a man of pious acts may take birth after death although nowadays every passing person is considered to reside in heaven though they might be qualified not even for this planet but hell.
ūrdhvaṁ gacchanti sattva-sthā
madhye tiṣṭhanti rājasāḥ
adho gacchanti tāmasāḥ
“Those situated in the mode of goodness gradually go upward to the higher planets; those in the mode of passion live on the earthly planets; and those in the abominable mode of ignorance go down to the hellish worlds.” (BG 14.18)
Just as the government is managed by many members under the head, similarly under the guidance of Supreme Vishnu, takes place the creation, maintenance and destruction of the universe. The purpose behind the material universe or the house of misery and temporariness is to habituate the souls who desire independent enjoyment from The Supreme Lord, in the spiritual world, the abode of eternity and spiritual bliss, free from birth, old age, disease and death. In other words beyond the material sky lies the eternal sky where we originally belong to.
The conditioned or foolish soul is meant to learn in the material world of its original position as that of the predominated enjoyer and not as the predominating. Covered by the subtle layers of senses, mind, intelligence, false ego, the spirit soul is forced to always consider oneself as the predominating enjoyer while competing with other aspiring gods. However when suffering exposes ones original position one is embarrassed and advertises as being happy to keep up with the social convention. It is only by the mercy of guru and Krishna, can one recognize the knowledge of The Absolute as passed down through scriptures. This is absolutely rare for in the name of spirituality people take to knowledge of becoming absolutely one with God or perform strict austerities to elevate to higher planets. But the material existence is a fool’s paradise where no one can escape miseries. Therefore, the most intelligent person should meditate on:
punar āvartino ’rjuna
mām upetya tu kaunteya
punar janma na vidyate
“From the highest planet in the material world down to the lowest, all are places of misery wherein repeated birth and death take place. But one who attains to My abode, O son of Kuntī, never takes birth again.” (BG 8.16)
Therefore, the only goal of one’s life should be to realize the Bhagavan (Personal) aspect of the Absolute Truth, which is followed by Paramatma (All-pervading) and Brahman (Localized) aspect of realizing The Absolute Truth, in order to escape the material world, the ocean of birth and death, the body compared to the boat and the bonafide spiritual master as the expert boatman, under whose guidance, the ocean becomes a puddle contained in a calf’s hoofprint.
